| Other than the following, can anyone provide other suggestions as to
| what may corrupt a block?
|
| Bad I/O hardware/firmware
| Operating system I/O or caching problems
| Disk repair utilities
| Memory problems
| Oracle incorrectly attempting to access an unformatted block
|
| Is there anyway a user could cause a corrupt block?
|
| Are there any suggestions for preventing block corruption?
|
| Thanks in advance,
| Jeff

1/ Oracle bugs
2/ vi
3/ Strong privilege policy (600 on database files, no one has access to database owner...) and don't use bugged Oracle features :)
