Thanks for your prompt reply

I don't have access to the oracle server at the moment, the admin seems to have disappeared in a hole somewhere; however, i may have some difficulty having them relaunch the procedure today - understandably since it forces them to stop and restart the server each time. Can i view the explain plan for the query in toad without launching it? If so, i'll try to do it asap.

Regarding volumetry 1833 out of 62780 rows are returned by the query LIKE 'REP%', a litlle bit more than 2%. If you add to that the fact that we have another selection filter, it doesn't seem impressive at all...

I'll inform you as soon as i have the explain plan for the query
