I had thought I had seen this answered but here I see the post with no responses.

With 10g Oracle provides a series of sample schemas with the product that are optional to load.

The Oracle Express product, free on Windows and Linux, also provide these sample schemas. The Oracle Express product is availalble from http://otn.oracle.com
