I applied DST patches to 10.2.0.2 on solaris sparc 64 5.8, without shutting down the instances.

EDP> select to_timestamp_tz('20070311 00:00:00 US/EASTERN','YYYYMMDD HH24:MI:SS TZR')+to_dsinterval('0 08:00:00') test from dual;

TEST

11-MAR-07 09.00.00.000000000 AM US/EASTERN EDP> select to_timestamp_tz('20070310 00:00:00 US/EASTERN', 'YYYYMMDD HH24:MI:SS TZR')+to_dsinterval('0 08:00:00') test from dual;

TEST

08-MAR-07 08.00.00.000000000 AM US/EASTERN EDP> select version from v$timezone_file;

VERSION

2

The last query supposed to give "version 3", but it gave 2. Is it because of server having not bounced?
