OK - the tns stuff below was meant as an alternative to the conversion tools - not an alternative usage :)

Well... all network config files belong in TNS_ADMIN, which defaults to OH/network/admin - that is where networking expects is ever so long.

Like fixing the '' != NULL all of a sudden; it would break things...
