dlopen() on libocci failed!

I've installed the oracle-instantclient-basic-10.2.0.3-1.i386.rpm for
my SuSE 9.


When i write a sample code to dlopen() the library libocci.so.10.1,
the handle returned is NULL, but errno shows "success" !!
All other libraries that are part of the above RPM could dlopen() ed.
Any hints, if I'm missing something here?
