So...

The conclusion at last.... Oracle CAN NOT (or rather DOES NOT) implement domains with the ease and elegance with which Interbase and Firebird do.

Ummm... "The Mighty Oracle", bested by the lowly Firebird (in this regard anyway).

Thanks to everyone for answering my question. If have others, but ... that is another thread :)
