Oracle 9i/10g DBA - Johnson City, NY or remote. Primary Role Title:Database Architect

Johnson City · New York · USA

Principal Duties and Essential Job Functions:
* Provide technical support for an Oracle database environment,
including implementation of new and modified databases, testing and installation of DBMS upgrades, and project support from the database administration perspective * Monitor the performance of production systems and utilize appropriate tools to identify tuning opportunities
* Participate in on-call 24 X 7 rotational support for the database
environment * Experience with Oracle Apps 11i or Oracle Application Server will be a plus * Position is located in Johnson City NY or remote.

Basic Qualifications:
* 4 yrs Oracle DBA on multiple instances (9i/10g). * 3 yrs database
performance tuning, backup and recovery processes. * 2 yrs RMAN. * 1 yr Unix shell Scripting.
