Well, some people are limited in which ISP's they can receive, and from what
I've seen, only people who cancel their posts aren't seen. And the fact that
people do cancel their posts and apologize means that it sometimes works.

It depends. You are severely underestimating the power of "monkey-see, monkey-do." If spammers see that others are allowed to spam, they spam too. As Daniel
pointed out, this obviously doesn't apply to those who don't even read the group,
but they are not the target of the replies in question.

You are a legend in your own mind.
He-who-should-not-be-mentioned-because-when-he-is-he-pops-up-again went through a period of switching domains, I must assume from your statement you missed all that. You think you got him shut down? There were a lot of people before you who tried in futility.
He finally gave up, apparently satisfied he proved his point, or maybe someone
simply got through to him, or maybe he went back on his meds, or maybe the
situation of the guy in South America who was going to publish the zero-day
exploits scared the poopoo out of him.

It's TROLLS you shouldn't reply to. Spammers need to be shown the error of their ways. If it doesn't work, little harm done, when it does,
it's good. And if you don't like what Daniel posts, there's always killfiles.
