Look at other products for the moment if you absolutely need to use this new 10g feature of oracle.

Tell BMC that their product needs to support 10g oracle features. Get in touch with your sales rep and ask him to recommend a different vendor for a product that does have the capabilities you require.

We run hpux at my site. It took hp a long time but they recently have a new version of Data Protector ( may be somewhat equivalent ) that "finally" supports 10g new rman features.
