All,

My client has purchased 2 AIX p5xx boxes, 4 processors, 8GB ram, and 4x50GB raw disk, and 2x8GB cooked file system, and minimal internal disk(internal disk for OS only).

The software: Oracle 10.2 STANDARD Edition (sorry for yelling).

I am soliciting best configs given my resources.

I propose using the 4x50GB raw for ASM disk groups. Should I create 1 big group, or 4 groups. I also plan to backup to flash recovery area, block change tracking, etc...

The 2x8GB cooked files are for binaries and dump.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Received on Tue Nov 14 2006 - 14:11:25 CST
