"Don Burleson
Don Burleson is one of the world's most prolilfic Oracle authors and experts. A retired adjunct professor emeritus, he has authored more than 30 books on Oracle database management, published hundreds of articles in national magazines, and is a popular lecturer at international database conferences. Don crafted many of the original rules that form the foundation of StatspackAnalyzer.com."

Explains why the product is so good ... at throwing hardware at problems instead of solving them. Don admitted in print (and I can't remember where, at the moment, although a thread on asktom.oracle.com might be where I saw that) that he'd readily throw hardware at a problem (and has done so) rather than take the time to actually solve it and provided some tale of 'the client had budgetary constraints' (but, gee, they could spend $550 an hour for old Don and $200,000+ for equipment).
