We use RedHat EL 4/64 bit on our business servers. Oracle 10.2 is the business standard Oracle release we run in that environment.

In my home lab I use SUSE 10.1 with Oracle 10.2. The reason I use SUSE is Oracle support (even if it is by accident) and the inclusion of RAW support. This allows you to use ASM very easily.

Do I care that I must use a different distro of Linux at home vs. work?, not in the least. This is about Oracle, not Linux. Received on Sun Nov 05 2006 - 16:46:35 CST
