Yeah, of the three local groups I belong to, I've stopped going to two because they just are pushing stuff I don't even care about, like Agile Programming. Not worth losing billable hours for a free sandwich. LAOUG is still pretty good, though I've had scheduling conflicts the last few events and haven't made it.

OpenWorld and IOUG conferences were together for a while, I don't know what really caused the split, but I bet it was similar issues. They're both so big now I guess it was a good thing anyways.
