The link I submitted in my first reply goes to a sun site. Lots of benchmark info available.

You might want to look at the benchmarks for the sun T2000 ... it's an 8 core machine with 4 sets of registers ( like hyper threading ) or 4 threads per core ... making it look like to the os like a 32 cpu machine.

Price is reasonable and the oracle/sun processor factor has you only have to pay for 2 oracle cpu licenses. Received on Tue Oct 31 2006 - 10:01:53 CST
