Just curious to see if anyone has seen this problem before - I could not find anything on Metalink. One of my Oracle instances crashed at 34 seconds past midnight on Saturday - no known jobs run at that time. The server is running Windows 2003 x64, database is Oracle 10.2.0.2. The instance has been extremely stable since put in production in April 2006.

The alert log shows this:

Metalink contains this information about the PSP0 process: New background processes introduced in Oracle 10.2... PSP stands for Process SPawner and this process has the job of creating and managing other Oracle processes. NOTE: There is no documentation currently in the Oracle Documentation set on this process.
