Since java is installed on that machine, I assumed that everthing is there, but it isn't 8-(. Now, I have downloaded Oracle 10g for Linux x86-64. Unfortunatedly this version expects Suse-9. May be I have to wait for a newer version of Oracle, which supports my Suse version.

Nevertheless, thanks for that hint.
