Silent Install

Hi,

I've been having some issues with my 10G XE Installation. Everything was working last night but today it's not working (I thought I'd posted a message here earlier but it's not here) I did a couple of system restores to take me back in time but that didn't solve the problem. So I thought I would try to clean Oracle off my PC manually. I deleted the oraclexe folder and then went into regedit and deleted the keys there...so far so good. Now I am trying to do a "Silent Install" using

J:\xe_temp>OracleXE.exe /s
/f1"j:\xe_temp\response\OracleXE-install.iss" /f2"j:\ xe_temp\setup.log"

as the command. I am wondering, how long should it be before I see a setup.log file? I would expect it to be taking longer than the normal install, but at what point should I give up and cancell the install? Received on Sun Oct 08 2006 - 10:44:46 CDT
