Jane Smith marries Bob Jones and she takes his name, affect just her. Coincidentally the day she returns to work her Human Resources department changes name to Resource Solutions, affected every other employee in the department.

Write it as two separate statements.

Two statements not only works, but makes more sense.

Why try to combine it into one statement?

If it really is a common occurance that whenever someones name changes, the whole department changes names, then why not write a stored procedure to encapsulate that business logic? Received on Sun Oct 08 2006 - 05:55:10 CDT
