The master node info can be found in the $CRS_HOME/log/<nodename>/cssd/ocssd.log file

In a 2 node RAC cluster, node 1 was the first to come up. Node1:[ CSSD]CLSS-3001: local node number 1, master node number 1 Node 2:[ CSSD]CLSS-3001: local node number 2, master node number 1

Another way is to use Grid Control and "Cluster Home Page" where the Oracle Clusterware Status column is highlighted with a up arrow (at the bottom of the page under Hosts).
