Like I said, "This is not a discourse on which is better, OCFS or ASM." I was just responding to your remark "OFCS is marked for obsolescence", which I am stating is only true from Oracle's standpoint. From the Linux community's viewpoint, OCFS is not marked for obsolescence.

Which should the DBA use for RAC? That is not a question that I discussed as you have already covered it quite nicely! :)
