Page 479-494 of Tom Kyte's "Expert One-on-One Oracle" book provides a detailed explanation of the contents of a Statspack report. This book should be included in electronic form on a CD with Tom Kyte's "Expert Oracle Database Architecture" book, which is an update/refresh of the One-on-One book.

A search of the Internet might provide other useful documentation.
