Hello,

In Oracle 10g there seems to be a shift to a new standard as to some of the recovery directories. In it's rawest form: /recovery_area. I am seeing some hybrids that use this:

/oradata/recovery/archive_logs/<SID>
/oradata/recovery/control/<SID>
/oradata/recovery/flash<SID>
/oradata/recovery/redo/<SID>
/oradata/recovery/rman/<SID>

Guys, can you comment on the pros and cons of using this type structure?

Thanks,
