Found a fascinating bit of functionality, once again, hidden in an Oracle built-in package.

Need to write a CLOB out to a file?

Take a look at the demo of DBMS_ADVISOR.CREATE_FILE in Morgan's Library at www.psoug.org.

The web page isn't done but the demo at the bottom of the page works. I've tried it with other CLOBs and it works well.

Note: If you run the demo ... you can not use my snapshot ids. You must use your own and they must all be from a single startup.
