Partition Table and Index

We have a partitioned table of approximately 69 million rows. It is loaded during a weekly load process and takes about 8 hours to run. According to the person who routinely runs the process the majority of the 8 hours is the re-indexing process. She is wondering if they entire table needs to be re-indexed every week.

I'm not completely sure what type of indexes are on this table other than they are partitioned.

Should we check to determine if the indexes are global partitioned or local partitioned?

Is there any other advice anybody can offer or ideas where to start to look?

I know the information provided is sketchy and I apologize. Received on Mon Jul 17 2006 - 17:55:30 CDT
