If you search on amazon for books using the words "oracle data guard" you will get a few hits.

Take a look at the reviews for the books that you find there. From my perspective it looks like all of the books have some serious flaws but maybe it is enough to get you started.

Of course oracle does have published and comprehensive documentation and it's free. Oracle education also offers several courses in setting up data guard ( caveat emptor ).

Best advice is to get some equipment together and establish a testing grounds so that you can get familiar with how it works and practice while you are learning. Received on Mon Jul 10 2006 - 08:24:43 CDT
