Uptake of Oracle Database 10g is actually very positive - over 40% of the installed base is running it now.

The "old DB2 trick" is a solution to easing migration costs, but not an optimal one, and has it's own drawbacks. We are working on a better solution. Of course, you will have to upgrade (to at least 10) to take advantage of it. Received on Tue Jul 04 2006 - 18:03:51 CDT
