In order for you to use Oracle on multiple nodes to access the same database datafiles in a clustered environment, you will also need to use   Oracle's Real Application Clusters (RAC) software. RAC incurs an additional charge. Have a look at the RAC documentation (http://tahiti.oracle.com) for instructions.
