Service Name resolution in 10g RAC

Does anyone know of other name resolution methods besides tnsnames and
OID in a 10g RAC environment? Does 3DNS work in a RAC environment? If a
RAC node fails, can 3DNS be configured to automatically connect new
users to available nodes? Anyone?
