Tom Kyte has a new book out for 10g that you may want to buy. It includes several introductory chapters that review oracle architecture and processes.

Alternately, you can probably find answers by searching cdos on google groups or check asktom.oracle.com. Documentation available on tahiti.oracle.com is also a good place to research basic questions like this. Received on Fri Jun 23 2006 - 09:28:30 CDT
