Hi folks,
Pls help me I've a problem by installing my oracle 9i. Let me describe first what I have done.
So I have a PC running having 2 OS, winXPSP2 and Linux SuSE. I got a Oracle 9i and installed it on vindoz and it was ok at the beginning but at the end I got some error which was not really a problem as the message said by creating the database. I want to reinstall it again but first I deinstall. And my error was that I forgot to disable all oracle process still running before deinstalling. I verified my HDD and it still occupied 4GB of space disk, I try to stop the process and delete manually the folder containing oracle without making any change in the registry change.
I tried to reinstall oracle and I got a message error similar like this :
"an error occured by accessing the staging area. Please make sure the specified values for SOURCE and DESTINATION are valid". What does it mean exactly ?
I precise that the database work fine before I deinstalled it.

Help me... I want to know more about oracle database. Received on Sat Jun 10 2006 - 02:28:02 CDT
