I would suggest a third option.
It is generically called 'lawyers'

Obviously MSTR is some 'database independent' crap, developed under SQL server and 'ported' to Oracle, whereas a complete rewrite would have been better.
Assuming you are a small customer, the powers at Oracle would not consider your 'enhancement request', which will incidentally break the complete architecture, favorable.
