Well, here is the output. You can see that the variables it is complaining about are indeed defined:
$ env|grep ORA
ORACLE_DEV_HOME=/ora2/app/oracle/product/DV6i ORACLE_AUTOREG=/ora2/app/oracle/product/DV6i/guicommon6/tk60/admin ORACLE_BASE=/ora2/app/oracle ORACLE_SID=YOG ORACLE_DB_HOME=/ora2/app/oracle/product/9i ORACLE_TERM=motif ORACLE_HOME_NAME=ORACLE_HOME ORACLE_HOME=/ora2/app/oracle/product/9i
