Re: Oracle AS 10.1.2.0.2 wrongly recognizes RHEL4 as RHEL3

(Partly) replying to my own question:

1. I noticed that on the "working" system, running /bin/rpm -qf /etc/redhat-release --qf "%{VERSION}\n" returns "4ES" (as opposed to "4AS").
2. Copying the /etc/redhat-release file from the working system to the new one made runInstaller detect the right system and complete installation without any warnings.

Still I wonder what's the right thing to do about this. Received on Mon May 29 2006 - 21:10:20 CDT
