Hello All,

I may be asking a question at the wrong place. It is easier to find the cost/effort for a software development project.

How to find the cost/effort of an database tuning project? How one ca safely state the % improvement possible in tuning objects? Is giving micro level performance improvement is good or giving a macro view of it? like should one say that if x object (view / procedure) is changed it will result in x% of improvment or it is better to say that performance will improve by x% for the application?

Any help is appreciated

With Warm regards
