I think the answer is yes, because ASM sees two separate spindles it can mirror to, disk3 and disk4. I think they assume these are separate physical volumes and loss of one will not affect the other. I may be wrong here though. Docs are not really going into much detail about this, and I don't have a 10.2 on ASM instance to experiment with right now.
