No, seriously, Raptor (now called SQL Developer) is free so why won't you simply download it and give it a try? If it suits you - use it. TOAD is not free, but it's way more mature and does many things Raptor doesn't (actually, there is a free version of TOAD, but it's pretty behind its commercial brother.)
