Thats a fair point...

I've been looking into the code inside the STATSPACK package and the spreport.sql script.

They both seem to back up what Jonathan is saying, i.e. that the elapsed_time is the total elapsed_time from v$sqlarea for all executions of a statement which ran inside the snapshot interval.

However, the top 5 or 10 SQL's ordered by 'physical reads' are doing over 50% of the number of physical reads, but only accounting for 10% of I/O wait time.....

That doesnt sound right.
