Ping and Oracle

If a machine hosting Oracle database is pinged and it shows something like this

Reply from 10.0.0.51: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 10.0.0.51: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 10.0.0.51: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 10.0.0.51: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Request Time out
Reply from 10.0.0.51: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 10.0.0.51: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 10.0.0.51: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128

Then will the sessions of users will get disconneted?

I am using Oracle9iR2 on Windows2000. My clients are using Oracle Forms and Reports and they are experiencing intermittant connection and disconnection from the database.
The alert log file shows nothing.
