Easy for you to say when the company you work for has two major RDBMS products and neither one is capable of an exact PIT answer.

Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with Sarbanes-Oxley, FACTA, HIPAA, Basel II, or closer to home for you if you're no longer in China ... PIPEDA and Bill 198.
