Well it's about looking for the most effective solution - when you have thousands of lines of code calling htp.tabledata etc. one is inclined to *look* for the simplest solution. If this doesn't work then another solution will be sought.

In any event the idea was to copy the HTP & HTF packages and create differently-named copies of same and then do a search & replace through source code and see whether it works.

Not that keen on doing this but it does seem to be an approach suggested by some (time and experience will determine whether it is the correct course of action!).
