Archiving the SYS.AUD$ (audit) table

I was wondering what are the different ways that DBAs archive the SYS.AUD$ table? Do people just truncate it or do you summarise and store it somewhere. If you summarise it, do you do hourly, daily or weekly summaries?

I think that there is a lot of useful information in it like cpu usage, disk reads, failed logons and so on, so archiving it so you still have this information while keeping the table smaller is a good idea, especially if you have thousands of similar connections that can be summarised in one row.
