Would not call that a recovery, but well...
Hopefully you have the 8.0.5 installation disks
and patches (if any - you just mention the major
version).
You need to:
- reinstall the software (and patches) - recreate the service for you SID (using oradim) - open svrmgrl, and recover the database. That
could just be a matter of connect internal, startup, it could be an entirely different, and more difficult story.
Or... just get your backup tapes, and get the registry and oracle software from that (:evil:)
