Maybe I should add:
Metalink Note:273579.1 (on grid control 10.1)
What version of the Oracle database can the Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control repository database be installed on?
The Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control management repository can be installed using either the seed repository install version 9.0.1.5 EE or an existing Oracle database version 9.2.0.4 EE. EM 10g 10.1.0.3.0 also supports a 10.1.0.3.0 Database as the Repository.
The installation HOWTO for a repository in 10gR1 can be found in note:
284964.1
"How to create a Management Repository 10.1.0.3 in an existing 10.1.0.3
database"
My grid control lives happily with a repository in 10gR1 on ASM.
Best regards
