You can't just copy the files over and expect it to work. You have a salvage job in front of you and it's not going to be easy. I'd suggest stopping right where you are and enlisting seasoned professional help. You *may* be able to salvage your data. But the more you fiddle with it, the more likely you'll dig yourself in deeper.

Make regular backups.

BTW, the proceedure you're describing is Restore/Recover, which is different than import. If you have a valid export file lying around (look for a largish file with a name something like "exp.dmp") you can use the import tool to put that data into your newly created database.
