it doesn't work properly


without any specific clue to do what you are *exactly* doing.
Please apply your magic wand, upgrading to Oracle 9.2.0.7 and the
problem will go away automagically.


Other than that ,post a verifiably test case. This is a group of
detectives, not of paranormal visionaries.
