Instead of googling and fixing problems one by one maybe a good idea would be to read the installation manual a couple of times and prevent your problems ahead of time.

Should you uninstall oracle? Sure if you want to ...

How do you do it? Well you can use the GUI for the 10g installer and remove it.

Or since it's a unix based system you can just remove files.
