As the error evidently occurs on the tapedrive/in netbackup, you need
to check problems on your tapedrive.
At this point you are just jumping to conclusions, you can't
substantiate.
The tape may be full and if you don't have an autochanger attached to
the drive, no new tape will be inserted,unless someone does it
manually.
So nobody can clear you on this as you provide way insufficient
information.
The probability you are just appending to the same tape over and over
again, until it is full, increases by your assertion the backup
sometimes happen successfully.
