phew! got it. I was being a little stupid. I had copied the actual command line from a script that we used to use: /oracle/9.2.0/bin/sqlldr userid=xxx/xxx_at_xxx direct=true skip=1 control=kevin.ctl

it would appear that the 'direct=true' bit was giving me grief. Took it out and it worked fine. Thanks for your help guys. Received on Wed Jan 18 2006 - 11:06:10 CST
