That sounds about right to me.

Sure you can do it with rman and at some point learning how exactly is a good learning point.

But you can shutdown production, copy the files, and then re-create control files if needed.

Several different ways to do it but don't blame the junior guy unless you have a plan and procedure that he is supposed to be operating from. Received on Fri Jan 13 2006 - 11:53:30 CST
